Highway 80 began as a research project aimed at highlighting the civil rights events that took place along this historic highway. Over the years, our organization has grown into a leading voice in the field of civil rights tourism. We offer a comprehensive resource for visitors seeking to learn more about this powerful movement, including information on the events that took place, the people involved, and the lasting impact of their actions. Join us on a journey through history.

EVENTS & PROJECTS
My name is Dr. Robert White and I am a career educator. I have taught in post secondary education for almost 30 years and I have authored and co authored several books, peer reviewed journal articles and presentations regarding various aspects of the African American experience. I have also produced and co hosted several radio talk shows dealing with the subject as well.
On top of teaching, pastoring and being a family man, I have organized a research collaborative comprised of my friends and colleagues that have dedicated their lives to studying the experiences of African American and Native Americans prior to during and after the slave trade. “
